Ex-Welsh Minister Found Dead

An ex-Labour Minister who faced an investigation into allegations about his personal life appears to have taken his own life, it would seem. Carl Sargeant, 49, lost his job as the cabinet secretary for communities and children last Friday.
I'm deeply shocked to hear of the terrible news about Carl Sargeant. My thoughts and profound sympathy are with his family and friends.

He was suspended following after the first minister learned of a number of incidents involving women. A family statement said they were ‘devastated beyond words’, describing him as ‘the glue that bound us together’. Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn said it was ‘deeply shocking news’.
Sargeant was married, with two children and was found dead in his home in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire on Tuesday Morning. As a mark of respect following the discovery of his death, the Welsh Assembly’s business for Tuesday was canceled. Meetings on Wednesday and Thursday will also be postponed.

The police were called at 11:30GMT on Tuesday, to report a man’s body had been found. The next of kin have been informed and police are supporting the family, according to North Wales Police Supt Mark Pierce.
A sad way to go, considering he had vowed to clear his name.
Our thoughts are with the family.
