Mark Hamill is finally due to get his mark on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March. This will be the 2,630th star on the walk with the ceremony taking place at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the El Captain Theatre.

George Lucas and Harrison Ford will help emcee with Leron Gubler, the president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies said:

Star Wars fans will be over the moon hearing their idol Mark Hamill is going to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We are proud to add this extraordinary actor to our historic Walk of Fame.’

Hard to believe A New Hope was more than 30 years ago.

Hamill isn’t just known for his work on Star Wars, however. He voiced the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and the Arkham games too. As far as we’re concerned, Hamill will always be the Joker, no matter how many versions they come out with.

Recently, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was inducted into the Walk of Fame. He was the second person with a wrestling background to be honoured, along with Vince McMahon. You can read all about that here.

Nice to see Hamill getting a star. He’s been warring in them enough.
