The developers of 2017’s most popular game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds announced it would be leaving Early Access this December. ‘Late December’ to be more exact. This release will coincide with the release of the Xbox One version of the game on 12th December, which will include the much-anticipated vaulting system, which is coming to the test servers on PC very soon.

CEO of the newly founded PUBG Corp, whose log now shows at the beginning of the game, said:

‘…This has been an amazing year for us and launching both 1.0 on PC and on Xbox through Xbox Game Preview are huge milestones for the team. I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come in such a short time, but I’m even more excited to say that we’re just getting started.’

The game has sold incredibly well, making it Steam’s most popular game this year.

The press release states that the two version of the game won’t be identical, though the difference in the versions wouldn’t last long.

The new desert map will also be coming in the 1.0 PC release for December and will come later to the Xbox.

Looks like they kept true to their word about releasing by the end of the year.

We can’t wait for the desert map!

The game recently surpassed 2 million concurrent players and 10 million sales, which is insane, considering how small this game started.
