Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed, following an announcement from Rockstar Games. The Wild-West sim will be delayed until spring 2018, which could hopefully mean we will see a PC release.

“This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans,” Rockstar wrote. “We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready.”

They did gift us with our first screenshots however, and they look rather nice. I mean, the subject matter is obviously a bit dubious, but the actual quality of image is impressive. The fact that they are creating the game from the ground up will mean visual improvements, along with animation quality.

The new launch date was specified for consoles, but there was no word on the PC release.

Hopefully it won’t end up like GTAV, having multiple releases for the same game. It would be good to have a release for all platforms at once.

Have a look at the screenshots.

E3 will surely bear some fruits, so keep an eye out!
