Sicario was a tense, cool and thrilling story of revenge, betrayal and intrigue. It followed the story of a cop, who accidentally exposes the US government’s involvement in the Mexican drug cartel. Emily Blunt was fantastic, but her co-star Benicio Del Toro is the focus of the sequel.

A new full trailer has been dropped by Sony Pictures, after December’s first promo. It gives away quite a bit of plot, so maybe skip this if you want to avoid spoilers. But, regardless, it looks to be the same mix of tension and excitement that the first one nailed so well.

Josh Brolin returns from the first movie as the morally ambiguous CIA agent, tasked with starting a drug war in Mexico with the help of del Toro’s character.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado will be released on 29th June.

Josh Brolin will star in quite a few films this year, with Deadpool 2 and Infinity War just around the corner. He will star as the biggest bad the Avengers have yet to face, Thanos, and will take up the role as Deadpool’s on-off partner Cable in Deadpool 2.

Benicio del Toro recently starred in The Last Jedi, as arguably one of the most throwaway characters since Han shot first.

Shaping up to be a good year for movies so far.

Just ignore Peter Rabbit.
