Fortnite Update Drops Tomorrow

The anticipated Battle Royal mode for Epic Games’ looter-shooter-base-builder game Fortnite comes out tomorrow, amid flak from developer Bluehole. Bluehole is the developer behind PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds, the runaway hit on Steam, that recently saw 1.5 million players online.
Bluehole developer Chang Han Kim said that the studio was contemplating further action, due to the ‘many similarities’ in this mode and PUBG. Honestly? Don’t see what the fuss is about. In the trailer for the new mode, which is a free update, Epic’s Donald Mustard said that they were massive fans of games like H1Z1 and PUBG. Why Bluehole would want to silence any competition or anything that’s inspired by their work is beyond me. Safe to say people thought the same:
If PUBG is a great game, and offers good value to consumers, why is Bluehole freaking out over Fortnite Battle Royale?

This Bluehole/Fortnite situation is really dumb, IMO. And very ironic. You don't own the genre, man.

Bluehole is in complete denial if it thinks that Battle Royale modes won’t be everywhere soon. It might as well embrace its role as leader.

Rest assured PUBG we do not care if you're crying about Fortnite from atop your pile of money it just makes you look insecure as hell

PUBG coming after Fortnite for Battle Royale when they clearly took from H1Z1/DayZ is so hypocritical I don't even know where to start.

Wow, this Fortnite game looks amazing! Thanks for the tip PUBG.

Nothing is original when it comes to games. Bluehole should be embracing the fact it’s inspired other games to follow suit. Oh well.
The Fortnite: Battle Royale update comes out tomorrow. You can buy it for £35 at the cheapest, or whatever your regional equivalent is, on the Epic Games’ Launcher.
Because everyone has their own launcher now.
