How many times could I recycle that pun do you reckon?

Producer Shawn Levy has told fans of the massively acclaimed show Stranger Things that they can expect “next-level” and “crazy” sequences, as well as some payoffs for the storylines in Season 1.

“A lot of Season 2 is next-level, some crazy stuff, but we must service these characters who are now beloved, who are known to the audience”. The show features a wealth of unique characters, which have taken pop culture (and Tumblr) by storm. It has received stunning reviews, both from us and a number of other outlets. The story was a mash-up of old school horror, adventure, and enough nerd stuff to keep you completely immersed. Ratings were very strong for the first season, which is not unusual for a Netflix original, but stats show it’s more popular than Daredevil, House of Cards and even Making a Murderer, according to Business Insider.

The producer acknowledged the obvious pressure hanging over the crew – to follow up on something so amazing is a tough break.

“Yes, the pressure is on,” he said. “It would be so blatantly disingenuous of me to say differently. It’s scary to have people love something this much. It becomes impossible to banish all thoughts of not wanting to disappoint. This has been the challenge of it: on the one hand as we’ve see in the movie world, to do a follow-up that feels like the same thing is disappointing to an audience; to abandon things or change things [from the original], that disappoints the audience.”

He also said that he felt many of the audience would actually prefer Season One, as things get stranger in the second. Season Two may be polarizing, he said, which is a bold thing to say. But at least he admits what could happen.

We return to the lives of Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Mike next year; however, an official premiere date has not been announced.

In other news, Wiz Khalifa recently released a track, using the Stranger Things theme. Check it out below.
