Woman Shamed at Wedding for Wearing This

But who cares because she looked amazing.
So, recently, a radio station called The Breeze Waikato posted a photo to Facebook asking:
And obviously, because of some of the morons on Facebook, we had comments like this:
Yes, because a woman should always preserve herself. Every day! Especially on a friend’s wedding day; you wouldn’t want to upstage the bride, whose sole purpose of being there is to look good and smile.
Then the owner of the photo (and the nice dress) spoke up.
Liz Krueger posted the original image on Instagram.
In the caption she wrote:
“If only I knew that choosing this dress for a wedding on a 90 degree day meant so many women would be outrightly rude to me, and even come up behind me and slap my ass as I’m standing alone. As, quote, ‘it was a dare from her friends, bc I was a target.’ And then proceed to spill a full beer down my arm. Just one of maaaaany acts of kindness of the night!
Yup. That happened. Good thing for thick skin, being able to laugh at things and not take it personally, and good friends/hubby by my side #adultsarebullystoo.”
From the ashes of this debate she has created a beacon for self-love, as she finished the post with this:
“Regardless, we had one heck of a fun night and no ‘grown’ woman’s comments/glares could bring me down as a wedding guest :).”
Plus the fact that she was shamed for wearing something slightly revealing on a day that was originally for the giving away of a woman to a man is totally ridiculous.
You do you Liz.
