Even his biggest critics cannot deny that Jeremy Corbyn has a lot of support in his position as Labour Party leader which comes largely from younger and more liberal people who generally oppose right-wing parties such as Conservative and UKIP. However, Corbyn still faces a huge opposition from all directions: the public, the Tories, Labour MPs and Labour voters.

After disappointing by-election results, people have yet more reason to criticise Jeremy Corbyn as Labour seem to be deteriorating more and more every week under him.

He has announced that he intends to still be Labour leader in 2020 for the next General Election. This means that our next Prime Minister will either be Jeremy Corbyn or whoever the Tories decide to put forward. For a lot of Labour voters or people who oppose the Tories in general, this selection poses a huge problem.

Many older Labour voters prefer a more centre-leaning style of the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn is just a little too left for some people. In terms of his stance on Trident and national security, these Labour voters do not think that they’d be in a safe pair of hands under Corbyn.

So unless he changes his mind, it looks like we’ll be voting for or against Corbyn in 2020.
