Just like last week, Newcastle are number one in the table with Brighton nipping at their heels only three points behind. Part of Newcastle’s success is down to Aleksandar Mitrovic, who brought the match to a draw on Saturday’s Wales v Serbia world cup qualifier in the last 15 minutes.

Mitrovic is a striker for Newcastle and he did well to get a goal past Wales’s goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

Already this season, Mitrovic (or Mitro) has scored five goals for Newcastle United and he’s not doing bad in the Serbian team either. Under management from Rafa Benitez, Mitro has really flourished and is a key player for both of his teams. He was described as being a threat prior to the Wales v Serbia game which clearly turned out to be a well deserved title. The 22-year-old has a contract with NUFC worth £13m and so far it’s money well spent.

Newcastle United’s next game is to be against Leeds this Sunday and given that Leeds are 11 points behind, we’re expecting a win from Newcastle.

Up in the Premier League, Sunderland are still bottom despite winning their last game against Bournemouth 1-2.
