Every year, a multitude of artists take up the challenge to do ‘Inktober’, where you have to draw something every day in pen. No matter what it is, small or large, detailed or stick figure – it doesn’t matter.

However, one artist, Shawn Cross, who produces web comics and animation content for Cyanide and Happiness, has taken the challenge in a different light.

He created some rather dark images, depicting what it’s like to live mental illness.
