Yet another case of someone who really didn’t get it.

James Cameron recently compared Gal Gadot’s performance of Wonder Woman to an ‘objectified icon’, stating that she wasn’t complicated. Patty Jenkins stated that:

She would be right in her opinions too. Not every woman has to be a damaged, broken person to be a hero. She can be a total badass and look amazing while doing it. Cameron referred to his own protagonist from Terminator, a franchise that hasn’t had any decent movies since Terminator 2 we might add, Sarah Connor, as an example of a strong female protagonist.

But we got one question for you, Mr Cameron. Could Sarah Conner do this?

The original Wonder Woman, from the 70s TV show, also showed disdain for the director’s comments, stating on Facebook:

We rest our case.
