Eastenders star Danny Dyer will be an announcer at London underground station, Bromley-by-Bow it has been announced as the cult TV soap celebrates its 30th birthday this year. Dyer, who plays Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter will be added to the list of celebrities who have also recorded announcements for trains and buses. Last year Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley and Barbara Windsor took part as part of Poppy Day.
Sandra Anderson, manager at Bromley-by-Bow station says, “Our station is at the heart of the East End and it is fantastic that as part of EastEnders’ 30th anniversary, our customers will be able to hear one of the most recognisable voices from the show telling them that there is a ‘right pukka’ service on the District Line.'”
