Review: E-Mag

For those studying A-Level English Literature and English Language, the E-Mag is a tool that will definitely come in handy. If you’re just interested, it is a good way to feed your curiosity.

I think it goes without saying that if you want to write well, you should read often. That’s how the E-Mag can be a great thing for students of English. It is analytical yet easy to understand and this is how you are supposed to write your essays. Moreover, the magazine also allows you to broaden your knowledge of a text, like Othello, or specialise in a subject like language and gender.

To receive the print issues of the magazine, you have to subscribe which – as we all know – comes with a subscription fee. If you follow the English and Media Centre’s Twitter, though, you will find that from time to time they publish articles available to read online without any subscription.

If you want more access to the plethora of online articles, check and see if your school has a subscription and if not, try and get the English Department to invest in some great extra material.
