The Cruz is Over

So, after a long and rather drawn-out fight, Ted Cruz has pulled out of the presidential race.

This comes as no surprise after Trump’s win in Indiana. Things aren’t looking hopeful for the Republican Party, however, as Trump is now the frontrunner for the presidential nomination.

There could be a number of things happening now. Many of those in the Republican Party will now have to come to terms with this fact. Some might just settle for Trump. Others might just reluctantly move to Hillary Clinton’s side of the fight. But I think most will simply sit in despair.

After Ted’s long battle, even after trying to kick-start the #NeverTrump movement, nothing seemed to staunch the flow of pro-Trump supporters.

Trump now claims to have regarded Cruz as a “tough, smart competitor”, just days after having slung as much slander as possible in his direction to gain votes.

I don’t think it bears repeating how often Trump has outraged people of all walks of life. From calling for the building of a wall, to banning Muslims, and his callous attitude to the killing of terrorist families.

Well… don’t be surprised if you see this headline in the next few months:
